Coach Matthew Webb said, “I am very proud of our young Lady and Gentlemen this year. I feel that they gave it their all all year long”. The golfers had five different Special Awards this year and they were Lowest Average, 110% Flyer, Dedication/Desire, Most Improved and Most Valuable Player. They were given to the golfers at the banquet on the 23th of October, 2013. The Lowest Average was awarded to Steven Farmer. 110% Flyer was handed to Megan Surovjak. The Dedication/Desire Award was won by Thomas Ruffing. Most Improved Golfer was Matthew Ware. The Most Valuable Golfer this year was Steven Farmer. The golf team this year was outstanding.
We would like to congratulate Megan on her successful season. She made it all the way to districts and we are proud of her. As Megan said she is proud of her accomplishments this year in golf, especially being the only girl golfer. She practiced on men’s tees all season which in the long run ended up helping her reach a score of 82 on the women’s tees. Megan did a great job in preparing herself and getting mentally ready. She had the support of the school and we continue to congratulate her in her success. St. Paul sports are insane. The football team is predicted by Fandy to win it all and when I mean it all I mean STATE. Football has a pretty tough schedule this year which includes Tiffin Calvert, Huron, Western Reserve and their biggest rival and most trash talk week is the last regular season game every year and that is Monroeville Eagles. This year's volleyball team is also supposed to be one of the best in their division. Their games will be just as tough as the football teams with games against Monroeville and Findlay and the Convoy Crestview Tournament. But you can't forget about our cross country and golf teams who also are competitive. Our golf team will be competing as one of the best teams in Division 4 and our cross country team will be running their butts off all over, from the John Speer Invite to the most rugged track around in Plymouth. |
