On Friday September 6th, 2013 the volleyball team shut down the Monroeville eagles in three. Most people know the eagles as our big rivals, so to win in three was a big deal for the girls. As many of the girls said going into the game, they were going to play their heart out not only for themselves, but for their assistant coach who is battling breast cancer. The girls succeeded, the first game was cut a little close, but that just made the win more intense. There were many outstanding players, but they all worked together to bring a win to the table. The gym was loud and the fans were crazy, but the support from everyone always seems to help. They improved throughout the night and ended it with the first game 25-23, second game 25-17, and the third game 25-18. We are proud of the girls and can not wait to see them compete again.
